This year my school is participating in the Erasmus+ project. The original name of the project is Reach the sky and the main topic is astronomy. Many students from my school were hosting students in their homes and I was one of them. I learned many new things in only one week. It was very exhausting, but funny. I like the fact that I learned a lot about Polish culture and country, and other countries too, but I hosted a Polish student so I learned a lot of Polish words. Astronomy workshop was very interesting and we definitely learned a lot about astrophotography, the Big Bang theory, Slovenian astronomers and telescopes. It was an interesting week that we will remember forever. The foreign students were surprised about Slovenia, they said that it is really clean and small. I think everybody enjoyed in this project and we are looking forward to the next meeting.

I can still remember the day when our Geography teacher informed us about the project Reach the Sky which is in the framework of Erasmus +. Many of my classmates agreed to participate immediately because we all thought that it would be a beautiful experience, and we were right. Our first activity was to talk to the other students by email. We started to getting to know each other. I worked as a part of a team with my fellow students but also with students from other countries. The Astronomy workshop was very interesting and we learnt a lot about a planetarium, telescopes, an astrophotography and astronomers. I hosted a Turkish student so I learnt a lot of Turkish words. I learnt about their way of life, their traditions and many other things . We were also talking about our city and our customs. We all learnt many things about the other cultures. My personal experience is fantastic. We made new friends and had a great time with them. I’m very happy because I decided to participate in this programme. I am looking forward to facing new challenges following the project Reach the Sky in the framework of Erasmus +.
